Organic solar cells are solar cells that consist of organic materials at the core. It is mainly based on organic materials with photosensitive properties as semiconductor materials, and the photovoltaic effect generates voltage to form a current to achieve the effect of solar power generation.

First, the characteristics of organic solar cells
As a new type of solar cell device, organic solar cells have the characteristics of flexibility, light weight, adjustable color, solution processing, and large-area printing preparation. 1. The principle of organic solar cells

2. Several structures of organic solar cells
Organic solar cells can be divided into single junction structure, P-N heterojunction structure, and dye-sensitized nanocrystalline structure according to semiconductor materials.
3. Single junction structure
The single-junction structure is an organic solar cell made based on the principle of Schottty barrier. Its structure is glass/metal electrode/dye/metal electrode, which uses the different work functions of the two electrodes to generate an electric field. Electrons are transferred from the metal electrode with low work function to the electrode with high work function to generate photocurrent. Since electrons and holes are all transferred in the same material, the photoelectric conversion rate is relatively low.
4. P-N heterojunction structure P-N
The heterojunction structure refers to a heterojunction structure with a donor-acceptor (N-type semiconductor and P-type semiconductor). Among them, semiconductor materials are mostly dyes, such as phthalocyanine compounds and perylene tetraformaldehyde imine compounds, using the D/A interface (Donor—donor, Acceptor—acceptor) and electron-hole separation between semiconductor layers. The transfer characteristics in different materials increase the separation efficiency. It is a solar cell that mimics the photosynthesis principle of plant chlorophyll. However, NPC solar cells can choose appropriate redox electrolytes to increase the photoelectric efficiency, which can generally be stabilized at 10%, and nanocrystalline TiO2 is easy to prepare, low in cost, and has a considerable life span, which has a good market prospect.

On October 8, the State Council of China held an executive meeting to further make arrangements for the supply of electricity and coal this winter and next spring to ensure the basic lives of the people and the smooth operation of the economy. The meeting pointed out that reforming and improving the market-oriented formation mechanism of coal and electricity prices, adjusting the fluctuation range of market transaction electricity prices from no more than 10% and 15%, respectively, to no more than 20% in principle. A number of industry-leading companies from Shanghai, such as BASF, Covestro, Schneider, and Guoji Electronics, took the lead and signed a blockbuster order to purchase Ningxia 2022-2026 for five consecutive years, totaling 1.53 billion kilowatt-hours of photovoltaic power, and completed The first batch of cross-provincial and cross-regional transactions after the opening of the national green power transaction.

Previously, the National Development and Reform Commission has stated that the market entities participating in green power transactions have recently focused on wind power and photovoltaic power generation, and have gradually expanded to other renewable energy sources such as hydropower. Green power transactions will give priority to fully market-oriented green power on the Internet. At the initial stage of the pilot, it is planned to select regions with strong green power consumption willingness. After the pilot work starts, other willing regions will also provide active support in the future. If some provinces have a limited scale of fully market-oriented green electricity in the early stage of the market, they can consider purchasing government subsidies and guaranteed purchase of green electricity from power grid companies.
How do companies join the green power transaction? China Southern Power Grid stated: “As long as the company meets the power market access requirements of the province and region where it is located, after completing the registration at the local power trading center, power users and power sales companies can purchase monthly or more monthly power from wind power and photovoltaic companies, or sign contracts for multiple years. The transaction contract will lock the ownership of green power in advance, and obtain a nationally certified green power consumption certificate.”
China Power Grid noted that, according to China Southern Power Grid, in the southern region’s green power transaction, wind power and photovoltaic power were 300 million kWh and 610 million kWh respectively. The transaction price that reflects the environmental value is at the current price of wind power and photovoltaic power. Based on the average increase of 2.7 cents/kWh. In the next ten years, wind power and photovoltaic power in the southern region will usher in explosive growth. It is estimated that 100 million kilowatts of new installed capacity will be added every five years.
